A sketch I drew yesterday while watching TV. It was intended to be an escort-droid for Capulon noblemen. There are precisely three people in the world that have any idea what the hell I'm talking about, since it refers to a long-dead project.

The intent was to make something vaguely ungulate, elegant, and light... something inhumanoid that could stand at a man's height without weighing ten times as much as him. I didn't plan on it while drawing, but in the end the forehooves lack the long carpals that ungulates have, so the front legs are more like a dog in structure. Either way, I'm happy with it.

As hard as I try to dig in my head with this rusty spoon, and I can't for the life of me remember very much about the Capulons, other than the name. Long dead project indeed. Tis a pity.

Wait, weren't they supposed drop something into one of our other races sun's to make it go nova or something? Something like that.

The big point I was working from was that they were rich traders - I think the oxymoronic "aristocratic gypsies" was the theme that Chris had in mind. So I figured a trader would need escorts, and a rich species would use robots for guards... so I'd spent a while thinking about what an expensive luxury guard-bot would look like. The thing kinda sat in the back of my head for a few years until I suddenly got the urge to doodle this out. You know, just random background fleshing-out that comes from spending too much of my childhood around roleplaying books.
